The cool day

Weeks and weeks of hot and dry weather had decreased our energy levels to something around zero. The dogs and we did not want to do much else than go down to the sea and have a swim now and then. Life was a steady suffering. Then finally the weather changed. The drop in temperature was something like 15 centigrade and suddenly life was worth living again. The dogs were yearning for some meaningful work and we headed for the exercise field.

This simple photo shows the final stage of a wonderful retrieve Foxy made of a concealed downwind dummy, that I launched into the woods with a dummy launcher when Foxy was unable to mark it. I then handled her to the dummy and she responded like a good, well-trained Labrador. The cool day had brought out the best of Foxy, that's for sure!

Sundance Briz was also unusually triggered and besides of making some decent retrieves she wanted to play with Maud. This slideshow shows why we call her "Sundance" Briz. She can dance! The pictures are large so be prepared for a longer download period unless you have a broadband connection.

A shorter show made of a few unorganised pictures of the same subject.
