Vi, det är Torsti Mäkinen och Maud Matsson. I första hand fågelhundsentusiaster, men vi engagerar oss även inom lydnads- & bruksgrenarna.
 Tre hundar finns i familjen just nu, SUCh LP1 Skedoms Foxy (född augusti -94), engelsk setter, Foxys dotter Borta Med Vindens Briz (född april -00) och working springertiken Södersjöns Purdey "Miss Sophie" född februari -04). Du möter dem, våra tidigare hundar och deras kompisar på våra hemsidor.
Vi startade vårt "hund-liv" med en liten münsterländer som följdes av jaktspringer spanieln LP1 Jaktfalkens Yen "Springer" (1993-2003), och har sedan dess skaffat oss en gedigen utbildning från Hundskolan i Sollefteå. Främst som jakthundsinstruktörer för grundläggande lydnadsträning och fältträning av stående fågelhundar, men även blod- & personspår. Maud är även utbildad mentaltestfigurant genom Svenska Brukshundklubben.
Många av våra fågelhundsraser härstammar från andra länder, främst Storbritanien, och där hittar vi många oerhört duktiga och framgångsrika dressörer och uppfödare av vilka några har varit direkt stilbildande för den moderna jakthundsdressyren.
Vi har sållat i det stora utbudet av dressyrlitteratur och filmer på den engelska marknaden, och erbjuder lite av det som vi tror ger mest kunskap för pengarna. Här hittar du även recenstioner och tips på läsvärd literatur, så sätt ett bokmärke på vår sida så du lätt hittar tillbaka.

Welcome to our site!
 We, Torsti Mäkinen and Maud Matsson, started our "dog-life" in 1990 with a Kleiner Munsterlander, a german versatile breed. Our aim was at first to only have a dog for informal shooting at the grounds around our willage.
Soon the interest to deeper understanding of dogs awakened and we started to attend obedience classes at a lokal dog club. This only deepned our interest and by and by we got compleatly absorbed in the search of all kinds of knowledge of dogs. After a period of more or less uncritical try outs of different wings within the science of dog training and behavior we ended up at the Swedish Dog Training Centre in Sollefteå. Now we started to get results from our work and during the years to come one week long class at the SDTC was added to another. Today we have achived the Gun Dog Instructors degree and we have planned for to attend additional classes in the future.
Now and then we help gun-dog owners with obedience and field training and we also hold classes. We also give obedince lessons to owners of any breed of dog and have from time to time been engaged in training of different types of duty dogs. However, our primary interest is in the Brittish Setters and Working Springer Spaniels. We have had good succes at field trials and are regulary working as dog handlers at commercial shoots. Our favorite shooting grounds are first of all the mountains with their superior beauty, peace and silence but also with the challange the merciless nature gives sometimes.
Today we have two English Setter (SUCh Skedoms Foxy born aug.-94 and her daughter Borta Med Vindens Briz born april -00) bitches of the small, light scandinavian working type. It descends from Swedish, Norweigian and American strains and is quit a handfull of dog. Lovely at home but very independent on the field and testing to train and handler. We have managed get Foxy into the Winners stake where she has started once but in the second run she ranged very wide, dissapearing into the snowstorm the trial was held in and also from the trial at the same time. Her good sides are outstanding stamina, exellent speed and style and good game finding ability. Her bad side is a touch of too much of prey drive, making her difficult to control.
Our third dog, the Working Springer (Södersjöns Purdey "Miss Sophie" born februari -04) is a new chapter. She's coming along well and you can read about her progress in The Miss Sophie Story
Both dogs have good merits from obedience contest and both of them have won several obedience contests.
We are daily in contact with gun doggers, by e:mail and dicussion list from all over the world and like to discuss dog matters with you where ever you come from!
