Rospigans Hund - The ghosts

The final situation used during this test is where the "Ghosts" are involved. Two assistants are dressed in white clothing, like the "classical" ghost, and hidden apart in a wooded area. The handler stands motionless with the dog on lead and the "ghosts" are started to move very slowly towards the dog, from different directions, by the testleader. The ghosts should not make a sound, nor signal anything with their bodys, just very slowly close the distance to the dog. The ghost are directed by handsignals from the testleader and can be stopped once in a while if the testleader finds this neccessary. Here you can see if the dog has the strenght to handle both ghost at the same time or if it is "blinking" and pretending that there is only one of them or maybe it tries to pretend none of them excists.

In addition to these situations the dogs are also tested for shot shyness in a standardized test.
